South Tyneside Homes have an excellent opportunity for you to join our fantastic organisation as a Stock Condition Assessor, where our staff are at the centre of what we do and the services we provide. You will be joining us at an exciting time, becoming part of our incredible asset management team, helping to shape our service to ensure stock information, sustainability and investment programmes make a real difference to our customers and ensure we continue to provide quality homes.

South Tyneside Council commissioned an independent review of the housing and wider services that are currently carried out by South Tyneside Homes and has made the decision to bring all housing related services back under Council control. The move will include a TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment Regulations) transfer of all current staff employed by South Tyneside Homes and those recruited between now and when the transfer takes place.

So, what are we looking for??

We are looking for suitably experienced and qualified individuals who will take responsibility for the assessment and reporting of detailed stock condition information, effectively developing survey programmes and providing effective resolution to repairs and maintenance enquiries.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate previous experience working within a similar role, hold the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) certification or be prepared to qualify whilst in employment with STH and qualified to undertake Domestic Energy Assessments or prepared to qualify whilst in position if successful.

You will be able to work effectively as part of a team, provide excellent customer service and contribute to the ongoing development and change management within the service.
