A temporary rare leadership development opportunity has become available for a motivated individual seeking to expand their skills and gain valuable experience in the role of Head of Assets and Property Services. This post provides an exciting career opportunity to be part of driving Asset and Property Services forward and to play a critical role in the next phase of Housing Services development as we transfer back to South Tyneside Council.

We are looking for a visible leader who has a passion for excellent service delivery; and can provide vision, leadership and management delivering customer focussed, efficient and effective Asset Management and Property Services.

We are passionate about delivering high quality services across the borough to deliver improved quality of life, improve the appearance of our estates and excellent services to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to play a major role in creating great homes and sustainable communities where people really want to live.

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious professional, to ensure that we continue to deliver high quality, cost effective services through highly motivated, customer focussed teams through a period of transition back to the local authority.

You should have experience of operating strategically, possess excellent communication skills and display a track record of leading and motivating diverse teams to delivery excellent customer services.
